Workarounds in using the Kingston 2G [50x] CF card on a Sharp HC 7000 [probably equivalent to a Telios AJ1]
1. Step 1: At WinCE, download /binary/sets/netbsd-GENERIC.gz onto CF card (otherwise, it will be wiped out on each resetting of the WinCE machine)
2. Step 2: Also at WinCE, copy netbsd-GENERIC.gz onto /My Documents. [Note: Sharp 7000 still fails to open the netbsd-GENERIC.gz image if the latter is on the Kingston 2G CF card.
3. Step 3: using hpcboot.exe [on Kingston 2G CF card] to boot with the following paramenters [successful ones although other combinations may be possible]
hpcboot.exe parameters used
kernel: \My Documents\ netbsd-GENERIC(1).gz verbose
options: autoboot after 7 sec
log: NIL
4. That's it.

Everything works fine (very much like my 1G compact cards exercise). There is, however, a very frustrating hiccup -- Rebooting after the smooth installation, it reports that it could not open the /netbsd image! Moreover, breaking into the utility shell indicates that all files, in particular, /netbsd is already in. Just wonder if it has to do with the embedded software and/or hardware of the 2G CF card. Any advice to fix the problem will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
