It would appear that the Hitachi drives I picked up only support "True
IDE mode" only CF Slots. I booted a 5.2.3 install CD on my Thinkpad
X21(which has a CF Slot), and got the same error.  Under Linux on that
machine, they show "cs timed out".

Never fails.....
