I discovered (via floppies, lucky me) that the buffer cache is used
for MS-DOS disks.  Be sure and run chkdsk or equivalent after crashes.

P.S. Is there an fsck for DOS disks for NetBSD (or any un*x?)
     It would make automatic recovery possible.
