That's what I get for jumping to conclusions.  Turns out it wasn't solved;
it just happens less often.

However, I did happen to have a page where an error ended up in the text;
"Steve" got corrupted to "tteve".  I'd guess I'd say that the first and
last bits got flipped somewhere along the way.  Maybe I'll try adding another
inb() ...
