I have an external tape drive (Sony SDT-5000) which won't work on my new
Pentium PCI system with NCR 53c810 controller. Whenever I connect it
up, the scsi controller keeps resetting/failing to probe/etc.

I have an active terminator on the end of the bus (which externally is
just a SCSI-2 high-density to Centronics cable, then the tape drive,
then the terminator). An internal Seagate hard drive and Toshiba cd-rom
work just fine.

I can try to capture the output, but it's not easy since I can't boot
and save messages with that drive attached.
