I just tried to get a second ide controller working, I used:

wdc1	at isa? port 0x170 irq 15

On the first controller was a WD 340Meg drive, and on the second an
old miniscribe 42 Meg drive (for testing).

Although the kernel (current) would detect the second controller and
drive, there was obviously something wrong as programs on the disk on
the 1st controller would core dump, this occurred even without activity
on the second controller.

I wondered if it may be due to a hardware problem/incompatibility with
my old miniscribe drive or one of the controllers?
