Hi, I just bought an AMD 486DX4/100 for my ASUS SP3G, and I have a
performance question. I have the motherboard configured correctly per
the ASUS webpage, and under DOS with Norton SYSINFO, I get a nice 198.0
(compared to a 144.0 with my DX2/66) This is all well and good, but
under NetBSD 1.0A (as of last week I believe) with dhrystones v2.1 I get
~60241, almost _exactly_ what my DX2/66 gets. I have the mainboard
configured for write-back cache.
Is this typical? I would have expected a DX4/100 to be a decent
improvement over a DX2/66, at least with dhrystones.
Does anyone else have this combination, and can you give me some
performance numbers? Please? I really want my DX4/100 to smoke... :-)
