Someone on this list, I believe, posted recently about seeing DMA
above ISA errors on a 1542CF in a machine with only 16MB of RAM.
I just got through dealing with a machine here that produced this
and other errors (as well as corrupting my install filesystem disk
several times). It turned out to be the EIDE/floppy/IO controller
causing these. I removed it and moved the floppy over to the 1542
and things started working fine.
