The order is:

1) load kernel from kcoth, switch to inst-11 disk when prompted for fs
2) run install
3) reboot from kcoth, stay on kcoth when prompted instead of switching
4) run copy_kernel -- its on kcoth, not on inst-11
5) reboot off of hard disk
6) load install floppies.
7) extract and go
