I'm at a loss right now.  Every time I try to get the i386
kernel to link right now, I get a Segmentation fault from the linker.
I suppose that the next step is to compile the linker with debug info
in it.  I did recompile and re-install ld to try and clear this.  It
didn't seem to have any effect.
