Find the one that matches what you see in 'dmesg | head -1' (in the parens),
e.g. GENERICADP.

It's always a good idea to compile a custom kernel, imo.  To do that, grab
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-current/tar_files/src/sys.tar.gz,
untar it somewhere (it expands as ./src/sys/*), and go to it.

(*1) - The `-current' you can ftp and sup is <= 1.2 at the moment.  About
       a week after 1.2 is announced, it will switch over to being a
       post-1.2 -current.
