I was wandering around town recently, when I came across a motherboard
	being sold that had SCSI built into it (the subject is the MB "type")!
	Does NetBSD support this ?

I don't think you CAN find a dual 486 motherboard with an
Adaptec 2940UW.  Perhaps you meant the Giga-Byte dual
Pentium board (GA-586DX).

NetBSD is NOT smp, but it shouldn't have any problems with 
the 2940UW.
