I've been having problems with setting the speed of my terminal which may
be related to those currently being discussed on the list.
I have a Wyse 99GT hooked up to tty00 (com0) on my BSD system, running at
19200bps. The terminal has problems with 19200bps, so I tried
unsuccessfully to drop the speed to 9600 a few weeks ago.
I did:
1. Edit /etc/ttys, changed terminal from std.19200 to std.9600
2. ttyflags -a
3. kill -HUP 1
4. kill getty on tty00
...and the terminal would still work perfectly at 19200.
stty -f would show tty00 operating at 9600bps, while the terminal was
still ticking along happily at 19200.
Rebooting had no effect... the terminal still came up at 19200.
Sounds like this may be a com driver problem.
