That card, if I remember correctly, is a PCI-PCI bridge, with 4
DEC 21140s (I think; maybe some other Tulip-family chip) behind
the bridge, each of which appear as their own "de" instance... I.e.
the card would autoconfigure like, for example:
ppb0 at pci0 dev 4 function 0
pci1 at ppb0 bus 1
de1 at pci1 dev 0 function 0
de2 at pci1 dev 1 funciton 0
de3 at pci1 dev 2 function 0
de4 at pci1 dev 3 function 0
...or something like that.
