I've been running

netscape-v301-export.x86-unknown-bsd

for some time and decided to try 

navigator-v403b8-export.x86-bsdi-bsd2

since 4.03 seems ok on Solaris.  It worked fine on 1.2G until I
accessed a page that had an applet it crashes.  It gets a SIGSEGV
according to ktrace.

So does anyone have a netscape 4.x browser running on NetBSD/i386 ?
Other options are the FreeBSD or linux binaries.
