This is in addition to the already released info on this tape
drive. I presently have it connected as target 4 on the VS3100M76. This
is the third machine that I have received the same error when running
NetBSD. I have Arcsolo and Corel Tape Backup running under M$-DOS and it
reports no such errors. Is this a problem with the generic kernel
supporting SCSI based DC-600/6250/6525 tape drives. I have no problems
running 4mm and 8mm DAT drives from NetBSD. This is what I get from
catting the tape:
# cat /dev/st0
st0(ncr0:4:0): illegal request, data 00 08 00 00 24 00 02 00 00 00
st0: cannot set selected mode
cat: /dev/st0: Input/output error

P.S.A
P.S. the TK86 w/ SCSI runs great (even from a no-name 486 with aha1540cp
host!)
