Hello,
Do DFInet 400 (ne2k clones) ethernet cards work with 1.3 ?
All I could find on the web was in the linux bible:
http://ftp.yggdrasil.com/bible/bible-src/HOWTO-src/Ethernet-HOWTO-4.html
which listed this card under "Poor NE2000 Clones". The page goes on to
say:
<-- snip
DFINET-300 and DFINET-400
Status -- Supported
These cards are now detected (as of 0.99pl15) thanks to Eberhard
Moenkeberg emoenke@gwdg.de who noted that they use `DFI' in the first 3
bytes of the prom, instead of using 0x57 in bytes 14 and 15, which is
what all the NE1000 and NE2000 cards use. (The 300 is an 8 bit pseudo
NE1000 clone, and the 400 is a pseudo NE2000 clone.)
<-- snip
Given this info, can someone tell me if this card will work ?
Thanks in advance.
