I thought the installation notes were pretty clear. The issue is that
1.3 pcmcia support has a few misfeatures, one of which effects the
install floppy. So the way you install is to use the sysinst install
floppy to put a mimimal system on your disk. DO NOT ASK IT LOAD THE
SOFTWARE; just exit sysinst. Then follow the INSTALLATION notes:
basically you copy a full feature kernel to the disk and reboot and
then start sysinst over and do an upgrade. This procedure is a bit
tedious but works.
