On 11-Jun-98 Tim Rightnour spoke unto us all:
# 486-DX2-66: we0: WD8013WC Ethernet (16-bit)
# Send: 928.16 KB/sec 14.7% system time.
# Recv: 823.68 KB/sec 7.1% system time.

An interesting note.. After posting this I found another 486-66 in my
collection with an NE2000 card. this one is by a different manufactuer, and
gets speeds in the low 900's. So it is this one particular brand that is a
"peice of crap"

the MAC address is: ne1: Ethernet address 00:80:ad:70:69:ff
I have no idea who manufactures this card.. It doesn't come with anything that
would give away its point of origin. If anyone has a MFG database for mac
addresses, I would appreciate knowing (and so might others looking to avoid a
crappy card)
