Given the setup below, can I find what I need on the net and do an install,
or do I need to reinstall the old system hard disk to pull stuff off of?
Or can I not get there from here (I'm thinking net install, once I've pulled
an i386 snapshot onto my Mac).

Gateway 2000 486/33 with:
New Seagate 2.1GB hard disk (installation tested with Seagate's Disk
Wizard disk manager, so I know the disk works)
A bootable floppy with nothing on it except what comes with format /s
A pair of NE2000 clone ethernet cards
A Mac capable of writing to DOS floppies

TIA,
~Steve

Faith is the quality that enables you to eat blackberry jam on a picnic
without looking to see whether the seeds move.

Contrary to popular belief, Unix is user friendly.
It just happens to be selective about who it makes friends with.
