Would you say that it would be a bad idea to install Solaris x86 on the
news machine?

The reason I ask is that supposedly Linux can't mmap block devices, is
this true? It's needed for the CNFS storage method of INN, which would
greatly reduce the amount of unf*cking that is required every time the
spool reaches 100%.
