NetBSD can't currently mmap block devices, either.  I've been meaning
to make this change for a while now; I suppose I ought to Just Do It.

The problem currently is that NetBSD sees "device node" and tries to
connect the device pager to the object.  What you need to do is attach
the vnode pager to the object if the device node is a block device
(i.e. disk).

That said, I would still consider NetBSD to be a better solution than
either Solaris or Linux :-)
