ATX motherboards seem to have the plugs on them (with corresponding
holes in the ATX case).  At least one AT motherboard with USB support
seems to have a 16-pin connector on it..

Perhaps the motherboard manufacturer makes an appropriate connector..

In micro-center the other day I saw a widget for sale in the form of a
PC back-of-case slot-cover which had a PS/2 mouse port and two USB
ports connected to ribbon cables..  It was labelled as "only for XXX
model motherboard"...  but who knows, maybe the 16-pin connector
pinout is standardized enough to make it work..
