The 722C is an annoying printer. It doesn't understand postscript or PCL.
Instead, the computer must generate a bitmap (in PPA format) and then send
the bitmap to the printer. Look at the following URL; it contains info and
a pbm2ppa converter.

http://www.rpi.edu/~normat/technical/ppa/index.html

I have:
 - Used ghostscript to create a pbm file
 - Used the program at that site to convert it to a ppa file
 - Sent the ppa file to a HP 722C. It worked. Note that color is not yet
supported.
