Investigate the "input" volume levels for your sound source.

Is there a section in the manual that is appropriate for "faq" or "howto"
documentation, as opposed to reference pages? I would like to add stuff.
Lots of stuff. Read: anything I had to learn in order to get my systems
running gets typed in and submitted to the 'faq' section. If enough of us
do this, we'll have plenty of material for a NetBSD _book_ (what a concept!).
