I've been trying to configure x window using
xf86config.  I got it working, but it will only do 256
colors.  Which is quite lame.  When I try to change
the modes to anything higher that 640 x 480 the
monitor 
dies and gives me some floating warning messege in
Korean which I don't understand yet.


my video card is a s3 Trio64V2/DX (rev. 0x16)  It is
listed in the xf86config program.

The monitor is supposed to be able to handle 12?? x
1024 @ 60 hz I believe.
Samsung CDP17X(G) monitor

Does any one have any idea how to fix this problem?
