More info. I just booted Windoze - and eventually worked out how to
make its terminal prog talk to the modem at 19200 (highest setting
available :-), the modem does indeed report DTE speed of 19200.
When I rebooted NetBSD and tip'd to the modem at again reported DTE
speed of 2400.
