Hi!

I have a HP C1533A SCSI DAT tape drive (dmesg below) that shows some
weird behaviour. The system is NetBSD-current as of early January-00.

I believe that the problems start when the tape reaches the end during
a dump, and the messages below shows up in the log.
When I start off with a new tape, the messages starts appearing after
dumping only 40-70 MBytes and dump complains that the tape is full.
The only way to make the tape drive work again is to reboot the machine,
which is bad as it acts as a Samba server for the company network.

Does anybody have an idea of how to solve this, or at least a way to make
the tape drive work again without rebooting?

Regards
/Martin
