My rarpd lies idle for extremely long periods of time. I normally boot
only one workstation with it (my xterms use bootp) and that only happens
when it crashes, or when the power fails, or when I do something to it
such as last week when I put a UPS on it so that it wouldn't reboot when
the power fails.... :-)
I.e. I'm not in a very good position to do much testing without having
to disturb my work environment. :-(
BTW this discussion really belongs in current-users or tech-net. I'm
running sparc on the affected systems here.
