I just upgraded my NMS from current(P) to current(T) and now I can't
communicate through the network with network card. I switched back to
the -P Version and the card worked.
I'm using a Dell docking station for my Dell XP laptop. In the
past, it's worked fine with the following messages (please pretend
the messages are right, I'm doing this by hand):
NetBSD 1.4T (FIREWALL-V6) #3: Thu Feb 24 13:12:04 CST 2000 ...
...
isa0 at pcib0
3COM 3C905B Ethernet card in PnP mode
...
pcmcia0 at pcic0 controller 0 socket 0
pcmcia1 at pcic0 controller 0 socket 1
isapnp0: read port 0x203
ep1 at isapnp0 port 0x210/16 irq 3
ep1: 3Com 3C509B Etherlink III
ep1: supplying EUI64: 00:c0:4f:ff:fe:e0:2e:86
ep1: address 00:c0:4f:e0:2e:86, 8KB byte-wide FIFO, 5:3 Rx:Tx split
ep1: 10baseT (default 10baseT)
...
Everything looks like it's working fine. The ifconfig reports the
address correctly, it queries the port fine, the routes are all being
added correctly, etc. In other words, it looks absolutely like it always
has, except that it doesn't work.
I remember seeing something a couple of weeks ago about some of the
3Com ethernet cards; I'm going to go back and take a look in the archive
and see if there's anything in there that will help.
