That's a big hint. When you chose the size for your / partition,
you made it too small to fit the files you're extracting.
Remember that any directory you don't make a separate mount point for
will end up as part of /.
If this is a personal machine, and you're just learning Unix, it's quite
safe to make / the size of your entire disk, minus swap space. Later you
can plan the space for partitions on new installs you do, once you have
a sense of how much space is needed.
