Have you looked into the 'int 10 bootstrap' feature? I thought the
NetBSD releasenotes for 3.9.18 mentioned that being supported now?
If it truly does work, that may help initialize the card. Have you
tried using the cards in the opposite manner? (e.g. change the primary
card to the Viper V700) I suppose this may not be possible to change
in the Dell BIOS.
FWIW, I'm sure many of us are interested in hearing how this goes.. :)
