AFAIK, xf86config is no longer fully supported under XFree86-4.x. I
seem to remember reading something of that sort in one of the release
notes. So it's probably best to take the default XF86Config and change
it by hand. Things are a lot less complicated than with XF86-3.x,
because you can use auto-probed timings for your Monitor and Gfx card
(at least with newer models that support Plug&Pray), so you don't need
to tweak any mode lines ...
