Hello from Gregg C Levine normally with Jedi Knight Computers
I "grok" that Al Snell has gotten this system to work with the current version
of NetBSD, but are all of you aware that Intel has not updated their web pages
on the subject? They only mention Red Hat 6.2 Linux, and provide some special
software for the job. Obviously once the thing completes its trials with the
company that Al Snell represnts, somebody should politely mention the fact to
Intel. Here is the url for support
http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/isp1100/linux_asm.htm and
here is the url for the actual item under discussion
http://www.intel.com/network/products/isp1100.htm What I am asking myself now,
anyway, is why the company in question is not aware of the fact. Everyone who
takes umbrage at this note please feel free to contact me off of this list
please. Complaints only.
