Hi,

some days ago I took the harddrive out of a compaq workstation 
and formatted it to replace a defective disk in the DNS server. If 
what you say is true, I cannot install a new drive in the compaq 
without booting from the supplied CD (that is to install WinNT). IIRC 
I could enter the setup without a harddrive and any bootable media. 
I will checkk that.
