To follow up myself:

This is like Win95 and Win98 a FAT-FS, so the mechanisms described in
the i386 FAQ to split partitions or install a bootselector apply here
too. 
I will upgrade the FAQ section as soon, as I have a machine online, 
from which I can do this.
