Hmm, there may be some ways around this: I know Sun offers some of its 
gear in DC powered versions for telco use,  but I don't know any details 
beyond that (obviously, I'm not a hardware geek). It still seems there 
should be some economies available if you know a box is going to be 
living in a data center with power and climate conditioning.
