Just get a 2.5 inch notebook drive and a 2.5->3.5 converter. 30GB IBM
Travelstars are under $150 now. Much quieter and much less
heat-producing than a 3.5 inch. The only downside (other than cost,
still roughly 2.7x per MB, but now so cheap that it doesn't matter) is
that performance is a bit less.
