The majority of configuration parameters for X11 are stored in the
/etc/XF86Config file. You may want to have a look through it and find
variables such as "DefaultColorDepth" and "Modes" in the "Screen"
sections. Depending on your configuration, you may be able to change
to a different screen resolution using the ALT-CTRL and either the
plus or minus key on the numeric keypad.

You may want to get XF86Setup from the packages collection. This
is a great utility that implements a GUI that allows you to configure X11.=
=20
