I just noticed a problem in the snapshot in:

/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/snapshot/20020410-1.5ZC-XFree86-4.2.0/

...two of the kernels in binary/sets, kern-GENERIC.tgz and
kern-GENERIC_DIAGNOSTIC.tgz seem to be corrupt. CKSUM says they should be:

977590067 2688876 kern-GENERIC.tgz
543630173 2718062 kern-GENERIC_DIAGNOSTIC.tgz

but upon d/l, they're:
318418816 2688876 kern-GENERIC.tgz
410024200 2718062 kern-GENERIC_DIAGNOSTIC.tgz

...and they don't untar either.

I checked this from two different points on the network, so I don't think
it's my download getting corrupted.
