ttcp is reporting speeds of about 94 Mbit/sec over the ethernet
connection between my two computers.

Just to rehash, the Windows 2000 FTP client (800 MHz PIII) is
only managing about 25 Mbit/sec while ftping to the server
running 1.6_BETA-3 (Pentium 233, fast Ultra SCSI disk).  The
only change that's been made has been the upgrade to 1.6.
