System Info:
         Dell Inspiron 7500 /w/ 192 MB and 12 GB disk
         Win2K on first partition
         NetBSD-1.6 on second partition -- installed without saying yes to 
either the boot loader, custom boot blocks, or anything else that sounded 
like it was going to change how the machine boots



My Dell Inspiron 7500 disk is setup as follows:

Windows2000 is on the first partition (8 GB)
NetBSD 1.6 is on the second partition (3+ GB)

I currently boot Win2K from the hard drive and NetBSD from floppy.

Given the above partitioning is there a way to boot NetBSD from the hard 
drive or do I need to shrink the NTFS partition a little more so the NetBSD 
boot code can be below 8GB?  I would like to stop carrying a floppy disk 
around so I can boot the laptop.

I tried the steps in http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/i386/faq.html#nt_boot but 
got the following when trying to boot NetBSD:

Windows2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

<windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Lucky for me I can still boot Win2K.

If I have to I'll try to shrink the NTFS partition a little to make room 
for a few hundred MB for a new / partition (probably make the current wd0a 
into /tmp space) but I would prefer not mucking with the disk partitioning...
