Followup to my own mail.

Removing ACPI and replacing apm did not break cardbus, so the fix for this
Laptop is to use the PCI_FIXUP_ defines in the kernel config to make sure
the cardbus controller is set up correctly.

I am back on apmd, with (I think) a working fan for now.
