Sure. The shutdown -p works fine. Once all processes
are terminated, ACPI turns off the laptop. But a problem
did arise on next reboot : the fsck complained:

VALUES IN SUPER BLOCK DISAGREE WITH THOSE IN
FIRST ALTERNATE

fsck did core dump when trying to use it. So I manually
used fsck_ffs using the block #32 to force the salvage.
This worked and fsck_ffs fixed the summary information,
free block counts in superblock and the standard
superblock itself.

Once repaired, mouting the root file system made
the kernel change this:

/: correcting fs-blocksize from 0 to 8192

Since I only got the 1.6 sources right now and
your binary kernel I don't know what changes are
currently affecting the FFS fs but I'll have a look
at current about it. I reinstalled recently the
machine under 1.6 after a.. er.. forget it. I got too
much shame over it :->

I'll move that X30 under current soon and we'll
wander in ACPI a little bit more then :-)
