Hi,
 
My source files under sys/dev/acpi were caught up with 
acpica-unix-20030619.tar.gz. I tested ACPI kernel with this patch 
few hours and it works fine for me.

On My libretto:
 1. boot ACPI kernel with this patch.
 2. "shutdown -p now" works.
 3. vald driver works.

I will continue to test ACPI kernel with this patch.
