Your question isn't i386-specific.  Normally, that wouldn't stop
me from answering if I had anything to offer.  But in this particular
case, go look over on netbsd-help.  That is (a) more of the right place and
(b) is where some people have quite recently discussed some ISDN issues.
(^&  ((b) is the more important of the two points, of course.)
