Are you sure the error isn't:
    "I can not find any hard disks for use by NetBSD."

I suspect that the install kernel doesn't have support for the
SCSI adapter in your system.  NetBSD itself may support it, but there
are space constraints on the install kernel.

You might have to add an IDE disk....
