port-i386: Linksys pcm100 issues

I've been trying to install 1.6.1 on my toshiba satellite pro 430cds, but 
can't because during boot the kernel detects my pcm100 just fine, but then 
spits 'ne0:  where did the card go?' at me.  Anybody have ideas?
