Hmm, that should've worked. What does "ls -l /usr/bin/tbl" say?

Also, which shell are you using? If you're using csh or a variant
(such as tcsh), you have to run "rehash" for newly-added commands to
be visible in that instance of the shell. So if you installed the
text.tgz set, then immediately attempted to recompile fetchmail
without doing a "rehash", it still wouldn't have been able to find
"tbl". However, if you had run "rehash", or logged out then logged
back in, or rebooted before compiling fetchmail, this shouldn't be a
problem. And this paragraph doesn't apply if you're using sh, ksh, or
bash as your shell.
