Show us output from dmesg...

Here's the (untested) sequence:

1) Get statically compiled dmesg [1]
2) Get the latest 2.99.10 boot image [2]
3) Boot from floppies (or CD)

3) dhclient wm0
4) mount server:/somewhere /mnt
5) cd /mnt; ./dmesg > perc4sc.txt

or

6) mount -t msdos /dev/fd0a /mnt
7) cd /mnt; ./dmesg > dmesg.txt
8) cd; umount /mnt
